Listening Booth

Who's That Knockin'?
Should you heed the call?
One of the first tunes Josh and Rob played together.

King of Creation
A song about a guy who knows exactly where it's at!
Alexei wrote the lyrics, Josh came up with the spaghetti western music.

Stealin'
Don't mind me stealin' back to my same old used to be.
Rob steps forward with the vocal on this track.

Unchained
A hoot and a holler played at a kids' dance party.
If you squint you're likely to remember the melody but perhaps not this arrangement,
which we picked up from Vito and the Salutations, and also the Manhattan Transfer.

This Is Hip
Indeed it is! Josh breaks out on electric with Rob holding down the bottom.
This is our take of the John Lee Hooker song.

Night Dream Blues
Hear the owl.   Ford the stream.
Josh and Alexei wrote the song. Ian Coss and Mike Stanley spar on guitar.

Guabi Guabi
A Zulu song about a boy hiding something behind his back.  He wants you to guess what it is.  Could be a banana.   Hey, but maybe it's an elephant...
Josh and Kim sing duet, with Josh playing soukous guitar and Brother Ben banging marimba on his keys.

Driving Wheel
When something's right, it's just flat right. We played this at a wedding for a couple whose relationship is strong as a locomotive.
Vince Snyder plays mandolin and harmonica, and wedding guest Rachel Wolfe sat in on fiddle.
